The Center for Cultural Power (@culturestrike) commissioned FAWK to create FAWK 12, a satirical piece reflects a narrative where Asians/Asian Americans stand in solidarity with the Black Liberation movement - a narrative that is not new, but one that existed during the civil rights movement of the 1950s and 1960s. Building on the wisdom of our ancestors, including Grace Lee Boggs and Yuri Kochiyama, FAWK reinforces that we are more powerful in overcoming injustice and building a new world when our communities come together. The Center for Cultural Power commissioned FAWK because we are Artist Disruptors - artists who are dedicated to transformational creative practices that dismantle systems of oppression and build cultural power.

The Minneapolis Institute of Art commissioned FAWK to create a comedic video to promote the Asia Collection as well as offer a learning resource.
