Watch on FAWK's Facebook Live
FAWK co-founding member Saymoukda Duangphouxay Vongsay has invited four of her other favorite friends for an hour of talking about nothing super important. Artists are meaning-makers, thought leaders, conspirators, instigators, investigators, amplifiers, and documentarians. Us Brown and Black artists are often invited to speak on panels and events about our communities' traumas and although we are honored to do so, we sometimes need to regenerate. So-------the FAWK & Friends panel will be a sliver of joy, laughter, humor, word vomits, body noises, and other ASMR-type offerings for us and the community!
Join Saymoukda and her friends: television writer+actor Bobby Wilson (Rutherford Falls), writer+publisher+curator+badass Lana S. Barkawi (Mizna), improvisor+director+playwright+candle whiz Ashawnti Sakina Ford (Blackout Improv, Black Ensemble Players), and rapper+poet+composer+Brown Jedi See More Perspective (Sky Spiders) for an afternoon of talking about nothing super important because they're a bunch of friends who just wanna hang out on Zoom and spend this MSAB money.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
